BR-3 Films UK Ltd. - A SNAPSHOT -

The Company

BR-3 Films UK is a new film and music company based in London. It was founded by lawyer and former investment banker Elisa Alvares in October 2003 and was initially incubated under a Housekeeping Deal, by UK-German media private equity group Kingsbridge Capital. BR-3 is currently co-managed by Elisa and London’s Latin American Film Festival Director Alexa Dean.

The Company’s Film Division has a primary focus on Latin America-related feature films, working on projects with a distinctive local identity and commercial potential. BR-3 Films is ideally positioned to operate as a bridge between the UK and Latin American film industries, and the company has at present three proprietary feature film projects in development. The company’s first project is expected to go into production in the first half of 2005.

The Company’s Music Division provides a range of music supervision and copyright clearance services to a growing list of independent film producers across the world such as the producer of City of God’ in Brazil. BR-3 Music works with up-and-coming music supervisors and award wining film composers.

Ana and the Others

Writer/Director: Celina Murga
Argentina, 2003
88’ 35mm colour

“NOTHING HAS CHANGED YET NOTHING IS THE SAME”

Ana travels to her native town after an absence of several years. A newspaper photograph taken by her first love prompts her to embark on a journey that will take her back to her roots and make her reconcile with her past.

Ana and the Others is the intimate portrait of a search, revealed as a subjective, happy yet melancholic, trip. It is a distant but close study of a place: a place of childhood.
