Br.E.A.C.C. FEIJOADA

PLEASE NOTE, THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

Sat 6 May 2006

The Brazilian Educational and Cultural Centre is a non-profit, equal opportunities, charitable educational organization and was funded in 1997 mainly by Brazilian parents who felt the need for their children to be taught Portuguese and to be in touch with Brazilian culture within a sociable environment in London in the United Kingdom.

Its purpose is to promote and disseminate information about Brazil and the Portuguese language fostering understanding and appreciation for Brazilian culture, music, art, and dance.

Our organization serves Brazilians, friends of Brazil and mixed families as a resource for educational programs, social events and cross-cultural exchange.

Our FEIJOADA event will take place on 6 May from 12:00 to 16:00.

‘Feijoada’ is a typical Brazilian dish made with black beans and meat. It is served with rice, cooked green cabbage leaves and ‘Farofa’, mandioca flour fried in butter.
There will be a vegetarian selection available too.

DJ Marcus de Orleans will be entertaining with traditional music.
